Bitmain Confirms Antminer E9 Production
Bitmain Confirms Antminer E9 Production, Bitmain’s highly anticipated E9 Ethash ASIC miner is generating a waiting list in Europe’s beauty industry.
We will notify all clients on our waiting list and place futures orders with Bitmain depending on the interest of those who have registered with us as soon as Bitmain announces the release date and pricing. Please use the contact form at the bottom of this blog to join our waiting list.
Bitmain has officially verified that the enigmatic and long-awaited ASIC miner called the E9 has been given the green light for production in a story on their official Instagram account @officialbitmain. The E9 was announced in 2021 with no estimated delivery date and only a few details about the new miner available.
Due to the uncertainty of ETH 2.0’s arrival and silicon limitations, it was fully shelved in the midst of the pandemic. Crypto miners have been waiting for confirmation of this miner, and Bitmain revealed on March 10th that the E9 is on its way, which was also confirmed by Vipera’s purchasing reps at the Chinese ASIC manufacturer.
The E9 is expected to be the world’s most powerful single Ethereum / Ethereum Classic miner.
which is why there has been so much buzz about it in the last 14 months. The E9 is said to be capable of 3GH/s while consuming only 2,556 watts of power. This ratio yields an incredible 0.85J/M, which translates to one incredibly efficient mining equipment. It has the same processing power as 32x Nvidia GeForce 3080 Non-LHR graphics cards. Innosilicon’s A11 Pro, which can generate up to 1.85GH/s, is Bitmain’s closest opponent in terms of Ethash solutions at the present.
We left out the Jasminer X4, which boasted 2,500mh/s but was discontinued last week due to excessive expenses and low demand compared to its more cost-effective X4-1U Blade offering. The E9 has a 70 percent higher power output than the A11 Pro. The launching of the E9 appears to be a watershed moment in Bitmain’s history. Because the Ethereum network is transitioning from a Proof-of-Work (POW) model to a Proof-of-Stake (POS) model, it had been believed over the past year that ASIC manufacturers would hold off on constructing new Ethereum miners.
However, even as stock levels increase, Ethash-based ASIC miners such as the Innosilicon A11 Pro and the Jasminer X4 have witnessed significant sales volumes well into 2022, along with an ever-increasing demand for GPUs. This is a strong indicator that if the goods being sold did not still have great value in the perspective of amateur miners and huge mining operations, there would be no sales of this magnitude. That is to say, Ethereum 2.0 is no longer a barrier, and there is now widespread agreement that following the merger, ASICs and GPUs will quickly transition their hashing power to Ethereum Classic.
When it does happen, the merger
When the merger occurs, the POW hashpower will become less significant in the validation process required for blockchain-based digital currencies to function. Bitmain’s decision to release the E9 is thought to indicate that Ethereum’s modifications will take much longer than originally planned, with 2022 now being ruled out. The declaration that Intel, the world’s top chip maker, is now going into the cryptocurrency sector with their Bonanza Mine ASICs is further bolstering Bitmain’s position.
Intel has announced that they are now producing the next generation of SHA256 algorithm miners, and with such stiff new competition from a US-based behemoth with global production foundries, Bitmain will have no choice but to diversify its product line into altcoins if demand for Bitcoin machines falls.
Unfortunately, Bitmain has yet to provide any specific information about the E9’s price or expected shipping date— but we anticipate a commanding and hefty fee on futures (MOQ with Bitmain at around $15,000 USD each), spot and reseller markets higher than even the L7 during the Dogecoin ATH (close to $30,000 USD each), and a late summer arrival in tandem with the S19 XP deliveries.
When preordering the E9 or any other unreleased crypto hardware, proceed with caution. It’s worth noting that resellers claiming to have Bitmain E9 preorders open, such as “Zingacoin” on eBay or other platforms, are essentially utilizing your money as “IFLs” — an insider term for dishonest resellers who utilize preorder payments as “interest-free loans.” If feasible, use a credit card to protect smaller orders, and make sure you have a formal purchase agreement in place.
